A long time coming.

What is this? Paint? Actual real, messy paint with brushes/knives/fingers/etc...?
Yep, it's been a long time coming but I finally decided that digital art just didn't quite satisfy my urge to create something beautiful. I'm not saying that digital art isn't beautiful, but I just lost the passion for it (although that is slowly coming back). Instead, I turned to something I haven't bothered with over the best part of the last decade: painting.
I first took up a paintbrush (with the exception of school work, of course) when I was twelve years of age. My mum and I met an artist exhibiting his oil paintings at our local social club and he agreed to give me lessons. Sadly, adolescence eventually had other plans for me. I have since gone back to the oils and also experimented with watercolours (much less messy, but I have to admit I don't get on with them too well), so I thought it wouldn't hurt to post a few pieces on here. Feel free to tell me if you think they're terrible!
Speaking of things that are a long time coming, I am finally, FINALLY, in Germany again
I am spending the next academic year as a teaching assistant in Hamburg and it's already awesome

Clearing out the closet

Ooh, look, space!
My gallery suddenly looks very empty, because since I've been failing to add anything new for the past six months, I decided to chuck some stuff out instead. I might have a ruthless moment again and throw some more out. It's all in the hopes of adding some nice new stuff. Most likely hopeless hopes.
Enjoy the space. Wait another 6 months and I might have one more deviation to add. Hopefully

Still alive! Just thought I'd post a little update for those of you who care, don't care, or wish I didn't exist
I know it's been a while since I posted anything. I have been working on a few pieces, but I don't have the time to sit at a computer for hours any more, and I've been focusing what time I do have on either searching for a graduate job or writing. I don't check DA much any more either, which is sad, but it's nice to have lots of awesome art to look at when I do get chance!
So, expect some art at some point, hopefully in the not too distant future, but in the meantime hope you're all doing awesomely well
